One of our favorite little spots to frequent in the south sound is the Dash Point Park and Pier in NE Tacoma. This cute condensed beach and pier is sometimes referred to as the “Lobster Shop Beach” because the restaurant by the same name used to own a quaint waterfront location just across from the public parking lot.
Dash Point Park boasts more than 700 feet of sandy beach and was established in 1922. Its most prominent feature is the popular fishing pier.
Not to be confused with the Dash Point State Park located just a few miles to the north, Dash Point Park and Pier offers stunning views of the Puget Sound, along with well-maintained restrooms and a kid’s playground.
